Genesis Futball Club Privacy & Cookie Policy
Genesis Futball Club, LLC, operating as Genesis Futball Club ("Genesis," "Genesis FC," "we," "us," or "our"), respects the privacy of members, players, parents and guardians, coaches, staff, volunteers, competition participants, visitors, and others who interact with Genesis.
Information We Collect
Depending on your interaction with Genesis, we may collect names or approved aliases, manager contact information, account information, team membership, player/team information, parent/guardian or emergency information where applicable, participation waivers, payment and fee status, disciplinary/administrative records, communications, IP address, browser/device information, login/session data, and security/error logs.
Open 8 Player Photos & Image Rights
Player verification photos are optional and may be added after roster registration. When no real player photo has been uploaded, Genesis displays a neutral default player avatar. Real verification photos are private by default and are available only to authorized managers, match officials, and Genesis administrators as necessary to operate the competition.
A team manager may separately enable or revoke public display of a player's profile photo. Public display is optional. When enabled, Genesis records the permission basis, the person identified as authorizing display, date/time, and the applicable consent/image-rights version. For minors, parent/guardian permission should be used. A manager-attestation option means the manager represents that the necessary permission has been obtained; it does not mean the manager personally owns the player's image rights. Revoking public display hides the public photo without deleting the private verification image.
How We Use Information
Genesis may use information to create/manage accounts, register teams and players, verify eligibility, conduct electronic match check-in, manage schedules and standings, record payments, administer cards/fines/suspensions, communicate competition matters, enforce rules, maintain safety, detect abuse or unauthorized access, improve services, satisfy legal/accounting obligations, and protect Genesis and participants.
Payments
Open 8 currently records team registration payments received by Genesis rather than processing payment cards through this application. Internal payment notes and manager contact details are not public.
Public Competition Information
Genesis may publish competition information such as team names, approved player display names, schedules, results, standings, awards, and privacy-safe disciplinary/eligibility information. Real player photographs are public only when the applicable public-photo permission is enabled. Neutral default avatars may be displayed without using a player's likeness. Private referee narratives, manager contact details, internal notes, account credentials, and other unnecessary personal information are not published.
Cookies & Security
The application uses essential session/authentication cookies needed for login, security, and account functionality. Genesis uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including role-based access, password hashing, CSRF protection, server-side validation, audit logs, protected photo delivery, and login throttling. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children & Youth Participants
Genesis serves youth as well as adults. Where appropriate, information concerning a minor may be provided or authorized by a parent or legal guardian. Genesis seeks to handle children's online personal information in accordance with applicable law and does not intend to sell children's personal information or use it for unrelated behavioral advertising.
Sharing & Service Providers
Information may be processed by providers needed to operate hosting, databases, communications, security, payment records, maintenance, or other Genesis services. Authorized Genesis personnel may access information when reasonably necessary for their responsibilities. Genesis may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, rule enforcement, or protection of legal rights.
Retention & Rights
Genesis retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for membership, competition administration, financial documentation, disputes, disciplinary/safety records, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and protection of Genesis and participants. Depending on applicable law and circumstances, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, or other available privacy rights. Some records may be retained when permitted or required for legal, financial, security, disciplinary, safety, or administrative purposes.
