This was a battle of David versus Goliath. In this scenario, Blue Bomberz was Goliath, who tried as they may, threw a eight man squad against a starting five for di Winnerz who stilled held their own and stood firm like the rock of Gibraltar. By the second half the sides seemed to even out as two more players added on to di Winnerz roster and from my eyes stood they seem do dominate in ball possession. There were a few counters from the Blue Bomberz but they simply could not pass Indian who dominated them in the defense. Finally the game ended with no score from either team. This led to penalty kicks and after a cycle of both squads roster in the depths of “sudden death,” Blue Bomberz emerged as the victor with a goal from Mark which di Winnerz could not answer.
The highlight of the match was a nasty pile to Jeremy from Andre who in the later part of the second half, received a yellow card for his now trademarked defense which the referee ruled as an obstruction for not allowing the opponent to put the ball into fair play. Joel achieved the double ‘ole’ by piling and salad-ing Amani. Despite that pile from Andre, Jeremy went on to win the vote for man of the match. The Blue Bomberz will advance to face FC Kill Dem in the finals.
