Red -vs- Gold — Match Day 9
Finally! After being humiliated and taunted, the Red Side decided that they had enough and took matters in their own hands. Before the game began, we saw team manger Warner actually managing and strategizing, while easily enough, the Gold team was looking nonchalant and easy as if they had a secret they was not telling. Maybe they already knew that the league belonged to them this season. Nevertheless, the game started out fair enough with plenty of chances on both sides to score, but it was in the latter part of the second half that Gavin put one in the back of the net. This gave fire to the Red Side for even more attempts at the goal. By then the Gold team seem to have totally abandoned the mid field in a non successful attempt to equalize. To no avail, they simply ran out of steam and by then all hope was gone as Warner scored the dagger that sent Gold off the field with a “blase laissez-faire attitude” that signaled their surrender. At this point the Gold team is already guaranteed the cup with only one game left in the season and the points difference is simply too great for Red to even stand a chance. Finally the Red team showed some fire, but it is simply too late.
