Gold Gemz @ Red Side — Match Day 17
The two might giants fought and the came to a stalemate. No relenting, hard defense and quick attacks. Red Side dug in and the Golf Gemz dug in. Highlights of the match, English salading … and … We will se what match game 18 brings.
Red Side @ Gold Gemz— Match Day 16
It “tun up,” Andre to the rescue for the Gold Gemz. He scored a banger. The goal keeper did not see it or believe it. That was the late part of the game as the two teams battled back and forth to no avail till the stalemate was broken by his out of nowhere, unanticipated match winner. Grabbing the man of the match accolade, his goal was definitely the highlight of the match, as he sat like a cat in a birdhouse after that one. This was much needed motivation for the Gold Gemz, who are now 9 points behind on the table. As usual salads occurs and Mahad again falls victim to Loco’s trickery. Match game 17 is around the corner and we will see if the Gold team can keep the momentum going or is the Red Side going to runaway with the trophy.
Gold Gemz @ Red Side — Match Day 15
“Rocket from Malaysia,” dem seh! Dat was the talk for the night. Fresh off the plane, Jogo put the Gold team on the score sheet. Unfortunately for the Gold Gemz, the Red Side was not taking that lying down. They clawed back and fresh off his injury, Donald equalized and that was it. A very well fought and hard hitting match. Ya Ya made his debut for the Gold Gemz and had a very good game. Both side were satisfied, but the Gold team is still in pursuit 12 points behind on the table. Match Day 16 will see if the deficit closes. The highlight was definitely that rocket from the far east. Not sure if any one got salad, pile or mashup.
Red Side @ Gold Gemz — Match Day 14
Match started out good. The gold team’s defense fell apart and lapse. Red Side took advantage and won the game.
Highlights: El Loco gave Garfield a pile by bouncing the ball off the floor. Even this reporter had to say; “No!..” Salads dished out by man of the match, Joel as usual as he also went on to score the two goals. Mahad picked up another one, according to the crowd. The saga continues and the Red side is slowly pulling away on the table.
Gold Gemz @ Red Side — Match Day 13
Something must have woken up the Gold team from their stupor, slumber or football hiatus. This was not the same team that had been getting beaten in the last few match days. Some one must have made the call for the players to turn up and step up. They had a full squad and more this match day. Perhaps it was the beautiful spring day and the new field, but something definitely clicked. According to team manager Mr. Mahad, he claimed to have seen the win coming as he addressed the team in the public forum before the match. Well, something definitely changed. The Red Side, as usual, started the match confidently and was the first to score, taking advantage of confusion in the Gold side’s defense. However, the Gold Gemz maintained their composure and rallied to equalize, thanks to the match highlight – a brilliant cross from the man of the match, MoneyWave, to Andre. For the next hour or so, the momentum was with the Gold Squad as they took control and thwarted all efforts from the Red Side. High intensity and fast pace characterized match day 13, resulting in another and another one in the bag for the Gold team, which had been lagging behind on the league table.
Red Side @ Gold Gemz — Match Day 12
Ahh…!!! what more to say? Another beating for the Gold Team. They just cannot win. I heard a fan say, “look at their personnel.” That is a reflective question that must be addressed to management. “You can teach football, but you cannot teach heart,” I heard someone else murmured. Lackluster defense and a lack of communication, and that’s all she wrote. Gold Squad starting 2 man short and was holding it for a while but without a concerted effort, their barrier eventually broke down by the Red team and the result was a 3 to 1 victory. Highlights of the match was Mahad, who as always can be heard yelling frustrations to his team, took it on him self to leave the defense and score the single goal for the goal team. While in his valiant effort picked up a salad from Trini, but he fights and that comes with the territory. G-man was man of the match with two to add to his goal tally. Match day 12 has passed and we will see what match day 13 brings.
Gold Gemz @ Red Side — Match Day 11
It was a thrashing. No more said. It did not look good. Another day at the office and we have disgruntled employees. This match was reminiscent of the Arsenal Chelsea thrashing earlier this week, only the Gold team was worst than Chelsea. We did not think that could be possible, but it happen. The Red team once they scored the first goal felt the fever and the Gold team could not stop them no more to be said. The highlight of the match was multiple piles mash ups and salads. Bruce was the man of the match. He felt the power and exalted it, scoring two of the four goals. According to team manager Mahad, “our team does not have any discipline and cannot concentrate.. some of our players seem to have lost their pride along the train line or left it at home, without fight you cannot win.. it does not look good right now, we will see what the next few weeks bring…”
